Kitchen Potted Plant

So all my crafts and painting started when I went to an Enrichment meeting and the activity was painting terracotta pots. This is the second one of this size that I have painted. I have painted many others. I really enjoy painting and I Love to have beautiful plants in my pots that I paint! This one I painted to match my kitchen.

Kitchen Angel

I found this angel in one of the books that I received from a Charmed Moments Convention. It is by DJ Inkers. I had a friend cut out the shape and then I used transfer paper and traced the image on the shape and then I painted it. Well Jenna painted this one. I was making one for my sister in law DeeDee and Jenna wanted to paint too! I think that she did a very good job! for the hair I hot glued it on. I found the hair already in curls in a bag at Michales.

I am a Child of God

I just LOVE Deseret Book! I found this kit there and spent too much money on it but I had to have it! It is vinyl lettering. It came with directions on how to do it. I went to Lowes and found the right size and thickness that I wanted and then had them cut it down to size. I did add an inch on the width and the length than what the directions advised.

I painted the wood and then followed the directions on applying the vinyl lettering. I thought that it needed a little more detail and added the little pink flowers under the red line. I think that it turned out great! It sits on Emma's desk in her room. She loves it and it reminds her that she is a Child of God and that He is always there with her, to lead her and guide her and to walk beside her. Definitely worth the money that I spent!

One of My Favorite Pictures of The Savior

I bought this print and the matte at Deseret Book in Provo before Emma was baptized. In case you couldn't tell from the picture, the little girl is looking at and touching the prints of the nails in the Saviors hand.

I found the frame at Kohls(one of my favorite stores). I have hung it in the girls room. I love it and sometimes I find myself standing and looking at it during the day.

Book Holder

Now this one I had so much fun! I bought this at Michaels. It was plain whatever wood. I then painted it to match my living room. It was a lot of fun to do. I even had a friend that asked me to paint her one! She loves hers as well. I store the Family BOM and church magazines in it. I will always know where to find them!

Fun with Decoupage!

This is something that I taught for Souper Saturday! I took all different material(that matched my living room) cut into pieces! Then I took the Modge Podge and brushed it over each piece and on the matte. Eventually it turns out like this! I then bought the frame and framed in the Proclamation to the World!
This started out as a white lampshade. I then used the same method as above and this is what it turned out like. I added buttons around the top and bottom edge. I used the Modge podge for this also.

The Wall

I wanted to show the wall that I put a lot of my crafts on. We are planning on taking new family pictures. Soon. But these ones of the girls are just too cute!

The figure on the left is 2 bears and in the middle is little wood blocks that have numbers on them. There is also wood blocks that have the months on them and then the numbers set on top. I am also big on angels. There are 2 angels. One on each side of the blocks. Then there is a bear angel with the sign that reads"forever friends"

On the end it is a picture of Dennis and I. Taken not too long after we were married!

I stained(Dennis)the wood shelf that I got on sale at Michaels. Raggidy Anne and Andy Home Sweet Home, I fell in love with at the "White Fence Farm"

I did paint the mattes Blue. they use to be mauvey pinky color. blue matched my decor much better!

Message Blocks

This was another project from "Souper Saturday" There are many phrases that you can spell out. I have even added some pictures like the house you see in red.

This was really fun to make. If you would like to do this craft, just give me call., or drop me a line. I have the pattern.

The Barn

For those of you who really know me, I LOVE to paint! So I found this barn. I think that it turned out great!

I found the iron rooster at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, Utah. I thought that it went well with the barn.

Table Center Piece

I am always looking for ideas for center pieces. This is an easy one that I came up with about 2 years ago.

1. I already had the metal watering can. I then purchased the silk flowers from Michaels. I think that they were about $1 for a bunch(4 in a bunch)

2. Then I just randomly placed them in the watering can.

Easy Peasy Lemon Squeazy!

Every once in a while I will freshen it up by taking out all the flowers and starting all over again with placing them in the watering can.
